CURRICULUM VITAE

  • 1994: Started using an application called "Picture Maker" included in the package "Storyboard". Those were my first tries with an XT PC at a public school for computer science in town named "Joven Club" (but first I had to learn some MS-DOS commands a year earlier)... remember MS-DOS 2.1, keyboard input and 5¼ Floppy disquettes? Well, I do!!!
  • 1995: Discovered "Microsoft Paint" from Windows 3.11.
    • Jumped into the new "Picture Maker" from "Storyboard Plus".
    • Used a mouse for the first time.
  • 1996: Discovered the fantastic world of 3D through "3D Studio (for MS-DOS)".
    • A friend showed me a professional graphic application called "PhotoPaint" from Corel.
    • Started clicking into the digital audio edition world.
  • 1997:
    • Became interested into programming and created some multimedia and stupid video-games (if they can be called like this) as "Francotirador", "E-Pasatiempo" and "Virtual Escape I & II".
    • Created my first videomix with 5 clips from Backstreet Boys.
  • 1998: More multimedia came into my life as well as graphics for several purposes.
  • 1999: Released my first megamix "K-lien-T 99". It was a funny cut-and-paste with some crossfades and could be the worst thing that you could ever hear.
  • 2000: Got a job at an enterprise in town as a graphic designer (former a high-school and then primary school English teacher).
    • I first saw internet and became related to it.
    • Created my site under Yahoo's Geocities free servers.
  • 2001: Became interested in programming and designing for the web. So, I started with HTML lessons and then a short Javascript course.
    • Released a megamix called "Galaxia Mix Vol. 1" for a nightclub in town together with an intro for their light-show.
    • Discovered "Flash" from "Macromedia" (currently owned by "Adobe") and I got into the animation world.
    • Made an Spanish remix of the song "Whazzup (from Scary Movie I)" by "Da Fist" as well as a Spanish-Italian remix of "La vida es" by "Nek".
  • 2002: Began applying all my knowledge to my web site on Yahoo's Geocities.
    • Graphics, animations, audio, video, multimedia, programming. It was hard to be an "all-in-one" just to please myself.
    • Started helping a guy -David Leadbeater- who developed a CGI:IRC chat by creating a smilies set for his project. As payback he offered 25 Mb of space on his server and I finally had a web site (http://johnny.dgl.cx).
  • 2003: Created another mix: "Toon Mix Vol. 1" and published it on a site -megamixers.net- where I met DJ Tukancheez.
    • Created a Windows™ standalone client for the CGI:IRC chat that I called: "COMmuniKATE".
  • 2004: Started creating web sites to make a living but it's not a well-paid thing over here. So, almost every thing was done for free.
  • 2005: Created a live-mix of Reggaeton music but never saw the light, not even among friends (lack of HDD space).
  • 2006: Just kept working hard.
  • 2007: Started working on a multimedia to make and Enhanced CD for "Tukimix: 10th Story". Shamefully this was never finished.
    • Became an active member for The DJ Lounge community thanks to DJ Tukancheez again.
    • Started working on the very first Flash version of the DJ Tukancheez site (not available anymore).
    • Began working on another free multimedia related to sexuality at early ages called: "EL y ELLA - Multimedia Educativa". It was the only way I could have a laptop at home.
  • 2008: Started helping The DJ Lounge by adding a simple red ribbon on the image they used as header on the site. After that, lots of versions were made for that header, including interactive flash versions.
    • Created The DJ Lounge logo.
    • Created several avatars and logos for some DJs on this community.

JOHNNY inside® SPEAKING

As you can read above, I'm kind of an "all-in-one" person. Yup, looks so! The problem is that I'm a free mind that loves to create and this world of computers makes you feel like a superhero. You can be whatever you want... but you need to know a little bit of everything before you can create something on your own. That's why I had to learned that bit about everything. I live everyday as if it were the last day in my life (I don't know how much time left I will have and there's so much I'd like to do yet).

I'd like to thank everyone who ever helped me somehow, specially to The DJ Lounge staff who believed in me and made me subliminally popular on the net under this label .
